Way to go !! Mike Qualified @ 1.265 seconds under his index. He is #1 qualifier pending tech. |

I just spoke with Mike. He said tech was not bad and he is definitely in with that time (14.52). He will have to wait until a divisional event to set a record. Congrats, Mike! Lou |

Just got home from work. Mike left a message on my cell at 1:25 and all he said was that the car ran great. I figured he either went under the record or was #1. He also went 1.233 under in class run-offs. If he gets any weather at the next divisional he will set the record. IIRC, the record is 1.24 under. Great job Mike. Be right back, I gotta go screw with the whiners on the S/SS board. |

Mike wanted to qualify good enough to get in the top 16 list in the Dragster. Being at the top of that list has really got to be something special. With two rounds down maybe he can win it all! He will be leaving first all day but he is getting pretty ood at that. 14.52 is a really impressive time out of what is basically a super six carrying 3080#. Goes to show that preparation and attention to detail is more important than fancy speed parts. GO MIKE |

Mike is very inspiring to us Super 6 guys.....It makes me realize just how fast my car at the same weight could actually go. I think that might be quite the special BBD and distributor.....can I get one at Autozone? |

Trust me, there's a lot more than just "stock" parts in there. The stuff that makes it a good class car also make it suck as a street car. Unfortunately Mike bulbed this morning in the 3rd round. I talked to him at 9:20 and he was already done and pretty disappointed in himself. I reminded him that he not only ran under the national record, he put a low compression Slant 6 on the pole, maybe for the first time in history. No need to be disappointed Mike, you done real good. |

Wow!! that is really something to be proud of. 14.52 at 3080#'s how much horsepower does it take to do that? That is wild when you really think of it. Anybody got any runs on video...I would love to hear it crackle. Congrats Mike...go for the record. Derek |

Actually minimum weight is 3250. You have to add 170 lbs for the driver on top of car weight. |

Flatland he runs 4.88 or higher, Denver is 5.13+. |
