Post subject:  slanted 1982 D150 mod question

Same old question it seams. 1982 slanted D150 w/ a 4spd man trans going to need some S.B. carb work soon. Looking for a little mod. Located in So.Cal so everything is 100% fully smog legal. Been reading on the super 6 setup. Wondering if this option was available in 1982 and will it/can it be smog legal if so? Also what parts will it exactly take for the mod. Not lazy just can not find the exact info I'm looking for in the older post (search). Can anyone lead me to some more info on dist re curve. Thanks a lot guys.

225-2bbl wasn't available in California in '82, so given California's strict inspections for original equipment, you are probably outta luck.

Does your '82 have an oxygen sensor and feedback carb?

If it wasn't originally a CA vehicle (i.e. one that a 2bbl was possible) you should be ok.

I think the 2bbl was Canada/export-only by '82, which could make life difficult for a CA smog check.
