hey guys, as you may know from the increase in posts by me, i brought my dart back and am getting it back on the road, i really would like to get the ac working on it (factory) which is probably more of a 'other' question, but the question is:
if i can get the ac put back on, while i have the radiator and such out to put the double groove water pump pulley back on (74 motor) would it be a good idea to go ahead and put in a slightly hotter cam? its mostly stock at this point, hei and super six, but planning on recurving the dist and shaving the head, hopefully getting the head port and polished soon
seems like as long as i have everything out of the way, wouldnt be a terrible idea...

dan, do you mean that ac will hurt my power? it has factory ac and the car is pretty original, and im warm blooded, i dont want it to be like a race car, but a little peppier then stock, and ac would be nice :)

You can run A/C on a racecar if you want. Won't hurt power, cause you won't have it on when racing. You'll be just hauling some extra weight. The belt turning a disengaged clutch in very minimal.
What Dan is saying is one should have an overall plan. (available funds, uses for car, results wanted, ect)

Get a WOT cutout switch for the compressor...........
