I had almost forgoten about this. I purchased a 65 A-100 van sometime back, it had a adapter to put a 727 behind a /6. I was wandering if anyone else had seen one of these. I thought it would be beneficial in being able to put one of the newer 727 based overdrives behind my 225. |

Yep, had one myself. You can use the adapter to put just about any small block bellhousing behind the slant. I'd use a smaller, lighter A500 before the A518. Dart270 (Lou) has an A500 in one of his cars. |

So if I were to machine the crank spacer for a pilot bearing could I use it to adapt a manual trans. The reason I ask is my truck is a 833 overdrive truck and it would be nice to put a five speed in it. |

Sure. Is your hub spacer small register or large? |

If I remember correctly it is large. |

I've got a 67 A100 with the same setup. It does give you some options, don't know about a manual swap though. |
