hey my 904 is slipping alot and shifting hard. i think it needs rebuilt or i need a new one. i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on shift kits, or tourque converters for the 904 that go good with a six? My six is stock right now but i dream of some day twin turbo charging it. thanks Starbravo@aol.com |

As for shift kits: Wayyy back in '87 or '88, High Performance Mopar magazine featured an article on a shift kit that was not a shift kit at all. Just some no cost mods that you can do yourself. I've tried it on a couple of 904's and I was satisfied. Good firm shifts,(tires would chirp on the 1-2 upshift @ full throttle) . And you can't argue with the price (free!). THE A904 HAS A OUTPUT SHAFT BEARING THAT IS EXTINCT (2a836), SO HOW ARE YOU GOING TO REBUILD A 50 YEAR OLD TF6 ? THE OUTPUT SHAFT BEARING IS OBSOLETE (FAG 2A836) I.D. 1.1645" O.D. 2.44" W. .63'.
