Ok call me dumb but I want to get this right before I start whacking on this new bearing.
I bought the rp6408 repair bearings for my 8.25 rear end's to try and fix some noises coming from the wheel bearings. The install instructions say install with the seal facing out but it has two seals. The bearing looks like it tapers down and fits in with the smaller seal going into the axle housing first. From the pic the seal side show would appear to go into the axle shaft first yes? The other side is a bit larger in diameter and I don't think it will press into the housing.
