I have a 65 valiant wagon with a 225. It has a single bbl Ball and Ball carb on it and I cant find any info on the BandB except that is was made for Chrysler. Any one have a link to site about these things? Thanks The only number on the carb I could find was 1695 Dont know if that will mean any thing to anyone. |

Welcome on the board. Your carburetor is a 1-barrel Carter BBS (= Ball and Ball, Single). Carburetor operation and repair manuals (and some training movies) are posted here for free download. 1695 is a casting number, and doesn't identify the carburetor. The carburetor number would have been on an aluminum tag secured to the carburetor by one of the two front bowl screws. |

Thanks Dan After pulling the carb I have more problems than I thought. I was going to do a rebuild and call it good. No such luck. I need a new carb. The air horn base is warped. After cleaning and replacing parts with the kit for that carb I found that the it is warped . So bad in fact that I can see daylight through the front of the body. Any sugestiond for a new carb? I wou;d like to stay with a 1 bbl. I checked Holley and I cant find 1 bbl on there web site. Thanks BTW After pulling the carb and cleraning it I found the Carter name on it. |

I always thought bb was some strange symbol for 'barrel' I have a ball and ball carb on my b model pickup with flathead 230 dodge engine- had to rebuild the acc. pump with hand made leather parts. Maybe I should have just re-used my old slant carb! Thanks Dan! |

All the BBD's are that way too. I run them on a belt sander to flatten them. The air horn base is warped. After cleaning and replacing parts with the kit for that carb I found that the it is warped . So bad in fact that I can see daylight through the front of the body. I try and collect all the BBD's I can. I am going to start collecting the BBS's. Come to thing of it |

1. Link doesn't work. 2. We don't post eBay's long garbage-filled URLs here. Please post eBay links in accord with directions in this post. Thanks! |
