I think I saw that hitman at Woodburn this weekend...

Yes, it's definately one of those moments when you see a wagon pulling down the 11-12 second range, then you look at your car and go...Hmmmm, gonna have to rethink some things...

There is a thread over on FABO that has good pictures of Dave's slant engine.

Post subject:  That was me in the white car

The wagon in the video belongs to a fellow by the name of Dave. I was the poor sole in the white Demon in the right lane. Dave runs what I believe is alcohol in that wagon and it is something to see him coming in the rearview mirror. Makes you kind of nervous when you can't even hear your own motor running next to his. I had to keep checking the tach just to reassure myself. Dave is a real nice guy and we belong to the Killer Bees club on the west coast. It was my first time racing and the race in the video was our semi-finals. Unfortunately for me, I hit the red light at -.070 so I just crusied down the lane and watched Dave coming after me. Truley awesome. And yes, you probably did see him at Woodburn as that is where he lives.

Thanks for the link Tom, And Yes It did sound like the Demon was a six as well.

The whole engine compartment etc reminds me of the engine compart ment on the cox's 66 dart which was a 9 sec car!

Thanks for sharing the info and welcome to the board.

I'll get some pics of Dave's 11 second wagon at Samoa and post them mid July...that is if you guys are interested. I'll pick his brain as well as I am curious as to what he runs in his car too.

In a different Youtube video I saw it sounds like a 5 speed gear box. Also sounds like a huge cam and the thing is spinning up to 8k+ would be my guess. Five gears keeps that thing in the sweet spot all the way down the track. Beautifully thought out and executed!!!
