727 not a 904 right? Big or small torque converter?

Most vehicles short of street hemis and 335HP 383s like those in Road Runners and Super Bees had the 12" converter and require 18.5 pints (9.25 quarts) after draining. The 727s with the smaller converter need 15.5 pints to refill after draining. There is about 1/2 to 1 qt that isn't drainable. Buy a full case and you'll have a little left over.

Smaller trans or smaller torque converter? Very few slant passenger cars got 727s.
