I droped my transmission out to replace the clutch, I am now putting every thing back together and I am putting my shifter back on and when I hook up my shifter linkage to the transmission. When I go to work the gears it only goes into reverse and sometimes 3rd. It worked fine before I took the transmisson out. I think it is in how I hooked up my linkage. Oh its a 833 with no od. Help please |

there should be a small hole in the bottom of your shift linkage set up to find neutral..put a small punch through that before you hook your linkage up. make sure your trans is in neutral too. Also it is possible to hook your linkage to the trans, upside down and backwards did you adjust your 'clutch' linkage out then of course it is always possible one of your shoes are still stuck it the linkage as you pushed and pulled looking for any spot to get leverage getting that sucker back in:lol:
