First off let me exlain the basics of my combo :
0.045 wisecos
k1 7.005" rods
Home ported head with engnbldr valves,
Offy 4bbl Holley 600dp with 66's in the front and 72's in the back ( no real reason, but those were the jets that came with the carb).
Hooker super comps,
STOCK 1968 carter fuel pump

I had noticed the plugs looked very lean, and with my daily driving activities, i had thought i would see darker plugs. I T'd a fuel pressure quage into the 5/16 line that leads to the carbs 3/8 fuel rail. I have around 4-5lbs at idle and it drops to 3-4lbs at WOT. The car is very responsive with no bog off idle or when i punch it at 60 MPH. But I am worried i could be hurting the motor with a lean out condition at WOT. The local mopar yard has a early rebuildable pump, so i could snag the arm for a big block pump conversion, but when i was talking to their parts guy he suggested that a stock replacement pump should do the job anyways. I have also considered usng a Holley "Blue" pump. But I figured I should ask the pros first. :D

7 lbs should be plenty with a 3/"8 line.

I think your pump PSI sounds a little low. I would look for a 7 psi number as Ted suggests. Pumps are cheap try a new one from the parts store (Auto Zone pumps here are still USA made) $25 or less.
