I have a spare T03 turbocharger from my front GLH turbo and have decided to use it on my '74 198/904 Duster. I want to keep it simple and am thinking about using a draw through carb. I going to talk to a local turbo rebuild shop about seeing what my turbo needs for it to be used in a draw through application and go from there. Any thoughts about what kind of carburetor to use? or about the turbo size that I am using for my 198? My goal is not to make a race car but a dependable and quicker daily street car. Since boost was limited to about 9psi on the early T1 non-intercooled 2.2turbo cars, I want to keep it right about there for this application. Any thoughts welcomed!...nico

If that turbo is from an early Turbo I car it's already set up for draw through as the throttle body on early TI cars is ahead of the turbo. I'd use a 350 Holley with an external power valve reference so the power valve gets it's signal from manifold pressure, not under-carb pressure.

Yup, and the early T1 cars were also port fuel injected and the t-body and turbo were only managing air....I want to be sure it (the turbocharger) can handle fuel as well as air on this 198 project...thanks, nico

The fuel shouldn't hurt anything. You've already got a face seal to handle vacuum rather than a dynamic seal. The fuel and oil will each stay where they belong.
