Fellow Slant Racers, After speaking with a few people coming to the Kearney 1st Annual "All Nation" Slant race, we felt it would be good to donate some $$$ toward a purse for this race. This would be nice for winners. A suggested donation is $50 for this race. This is not required. I can collect money beforehand, or you can just pledge and bring money to the race. Feel free to PM me to donate if you don't want everything public. I'll post a running total as donations/pledges come in. We are currently at $350 total purse. Let's try to make this race, even in these times, a good one, and we'll build on this for the coming years! Thanks very much, Lou |

I was planning on giving some money to the car that drove the farthest and entered the races. I am going to have to go back and look at the previous threads (I can't remember what I said). I think it was $200.00 So those guys on the coasts you have a shot at paying for some of your expenses!!!! Chris' Autobody Restoration Service Long Haul award!!! (I'm writing it off as advertising. I should make up some official entry forms or something to make it legal )

So does anyone have any clue as to HOW this race is going to work? Are we staging separately and running together as a class??? Where are we with the purse donations? |

We will run together as a class, definitely. Purse will be at least $400, and there are several other long distance and other bounty payouts happening totaling about $700. Lou |

FYI, we had a purse total of $700 and there was also $600 in bounty/bonuses paid out to winners by Seymour and Dennis. Everyone got their pay in back at least. Sergio took home $200 for the win, plus Seymour's $500 for being from >900 mi away and winning the race. Seymour got the $100 bounty for taking out Mike J in the 1st round.
