I am slowly collecting the parts and tools I need to do my first engine rebuild. Anyone know where I can buy a bottlebrush hone?

If you have a Baxter Auto Parts store in the area try them also Napa might be able to order one. Haven't seen one hanging on a parts house wall for sometime but I'm sure they're still available? Heck Reed just spring for a stone hone and rent/loan it out to others in need

I might do that. I haven't really been able to track down a bottle brush hone, so I may very well just buy a stone hone and have it be a "community tool." 8)

McMaster Carr, great suggestion! See here.

Now, what grit should I get? I just want to remove the glaze, I'm not overboring it at all. Coarse? Fine? Middle of the road? Grit number preferred for glaze breaking and cylinder prep?
