I have a 1985 Ram 100 2wd(/6 4sp), and I just had a run in with a deer tonight. Hit the thing at 45-50mph so it did some significant damage. Knocked out the Headlight, Turn signal, Grille, Radiator, Radiator support bracket is pushed back, lower sheet metal behind the bumper is bent up, and probably other things i can't see since it is dark. My question is, what all years will interchange front ends with the 85. The 85 front end is my least favorite, and when I am at the junkyard looking I thought I could try to find one I like better. Any ideas on which years will interchange? I like the 91-93 style, but I didn't know if they would work, I also like the late 70's front ends too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

what's wrong with the 81-85 front? I see you like the 91-93 which I think is the ugliest Dodge truck grille ever. I like the one you have now (at least before the deer had its way) same front grille as my 83.
the grilles went; 81-85 86-90 and 91-93. they did move the headlite buckets on the radiator support slightly with the grill swaps, so you'd have to either get the rad support from the grille donor truck or move the headlites

Its not that I don't like the 85 grille, I just like the newer ones better. I was wrong though my favorite is the 86-90, not the 93 style. I guess I will get which ever front I can find in the junk yard (81-90), I just wasn't sure if the newer ones would fit. I do need the radiator support as well, because it is bent back kinda bad too. Thanks for the info I wasn't sure what was involved in switching to a newer style.
