has anyone done a build on a cast crank engine? for power? I would like to make some drivable power with my 79 but I need to know what the cast crank rods can take or where to find something that will work. I know that there is a man that goes by buzzin half dozen that supposedly has done some cast engines. any ideas would help.
thanks!!

In February 2006 Mopar Muscle Issue an article "Leaning(over) kill" about a 300+ HP Slant Six build-up all over a cast crank!!!

Look for it on the MM Magazine web.

Several cast crank hipo motors have been built. I am doing one now. K1 is making billet rods for the cast crank with 198 rod length (7.005"), and they should be done in 2-3 weeks.

The 1st 10 sec doorslammer car was Mike Jeffrey in about 1999 with a cast crank motor. He switched back to forged crank when he went over 400 HP on nitrous.

I have a super light weight cast crank engine in process but that project has been "slow going".
Here is a link to that build-up message thread.
