First off, on a 170. Does anyone know how far down in the hole the pistons are? (Or the negative deck height?) Also what is the deck height
difference between the 170 and 225 block?

Also, if you clearanced the counterweights on a 225 crank, would it work in the 170 block?

The 170 is zero deck so that difference (on paper) is -.140 (more like -.180 in the real world)

There is no way to get a 225 crank to fit in a 170 block... getting a 198 crank to fit , takes a good amount of work.
