I have a question on a good place to plumb a Moroso Oil Accumulator into the slant six oiling system? I have seen one on Docs Race car but did not note were it was connected at. |

Connect right to the large 3/8 NPT boss on the oil pump, where the sending unit usually screws-in. DD |

What size accumulator are you guys using? 1-1/2, 2, 3 quart? CJ |

I used the regular 3-qt Accusump when I was road racing. Yes, you can connect it to the oil pump, but I don't like it that way as the only thing keeping oil from being pushed backward through the filter is the anti-drainback valve. When I spun a rod bearing in my road racing 225 the postmortem tear down revealed a tangled and displaced anti-drainback valve in the filter. After that I went to a Canton in-line filter and a real check valve. |
