I recently went and put the electronic distibutor in my slant six, Mopar factory style but The only way it start's and runs good is with the distibutor rolled back counter clockwise all the way, Start's and runs good there but it seems I'm not getting as good milage, and it's running a litle warmer than before. My question is did I get the distibutor one tooth out of time if I did what do I need to do to fix it :?

Did you check the timing with a timing light?

Post subject:  dist

if you look under the distributor you will see the hold down piece can be adjusted too. It can be a pain. I like to get it snug but not tight, rotate the dist to where there is good travel on the outer hold down slot, pull it then tighten the hold down to the dist.

good luck

I got to tinkering with it yesterday, I put my timeing light on it and got it to fireing and idleing at 8 or 9 degrees after pull the gas and it's going full advance and it's running pretty smooth so I think I may leave it alone right now
