1)There is a rubber rebound bumper above the 904 in the rear crossover member at the transmission mount area. The 833 goes up and contacts this hard with no clearance in order to get the crossover member bolts in, Should I remove ths overhead rebound bumper?

2)The 904 bellhousing has a brace from the engine to the bellhousing just below the starter. Does a bellhousing for a 833 require a similiar brace?
The 904 brace doesn't line up with the 833 bellhousing holes.

You could keep the rebound bumper as the manual tranny is a bit more harsh on the cross member during launch and shifting (I've pounded the bolts out of mine before during speed testing...)... It almost seems like the part that attaches to the tranny and bolts it to the crossmember might be too high?

Answer for number 2 is yes you need the 'ear', and it has to be for a manual tranny, the auto tranny version isn't curved enough...so you'll be stealing one off any year car with manual tranny (3 or 4 speed) and a slant six.

Good Luck,
