Anyone know how far you can clock a slant 6 up before you get into problems. I may have some clearance issues with the dizzy and dont want to mod the frame. This will be on a FED. I know I could go DIS but am not sure I want to. Thanks, Frank |

The engine (and trans) do not care... as long as you can pick-up the oil in the sumps. The other problem is at the carb... those work best when operating in a level position. DD |

Stock (in my toad) is roughly 2*. We've run 7* on our (stock pan and pick-up) dragster for a couple years now with no problems. Actually, a massaged pan would be an easy cobble, and you could name your angle. As Doc pointed out, carbs would have a say if you're running'em. For seperate reasons we ran a BBD (rotated 90*) on a stock plane manifold this season and had no problems with it. |

A wedge shaped spacer would be a bit easier and would "technically" add a touch of ram (though you'd be hard pressed to actually measure it |

I thought of the spacer but I think it would be a sealing nightmare. Thanks, Frank |

Why??? If everything is machined flat just use 2 gaskets. The blower isn't going to care if it's tipped a couple degrees. Thanks, Frank (I am assuming the spacer will go between the carb and the blower, not the blower and the head |
