I have a perfect '64 170 and an imperfect (blown) '83 225 in a D150.

Can a trans specialist build a convertor to mate the two together?

Yeah, I know a 170 is pretty anemic for a pick-up but I want to use this for a parts hauler... obviously light duty.

And I THINK I could get some reasonable fuel economy to boot.

Anybody?

Okay... I finally got smart and used the 'search" feature and came up with some answers... anything to add?

Can I ask who did them for you? I've got a hunch I can get one made locally but it would be nice to get a second opinion.

They are both high stall race converters. One is 8 inch the other is a 9 1/2 inch.
Edge Racing converters, and PTC converters.
