Just talked to Mike and he did manage to set an altitude corrected national record this weekend. It was 1.26 under, he lowered it to 1.311 under. Congrats Mike, I'm proud of you buddy! ![]() There's a great shot of Mike on the starting line on the Stock/Super Stock board. http://www.classracer.com/classforum/sh ... post143180 |

Thats awsome!! I just got my weekly fix of national dragster and I see Phillip Marvetz set the 1/8 th mile record at portland august 31st. So a slant owns both records! |

I was Just on the Phone with Mike last night - He Will Be making up a Head, windage tray and Crank scraper for My ruster racer. He told me the good news and said he might not race any more this year and "quit while he's ahead". Harvest will be coming up soon too. Greg |

Don't know if this is still his plan or not, but originally Mike said he would sell this car when he set the national record and put the blue car back together. |

What were the times and MPH for the record run? |

The record is factored because Oahe is an altitude track. I think he actually ran 14:79 and it factored to 14:51 for the record. MPH was around 87ish. Oahe is turbovaliant's home track. He did not know Mike would be there until after Mike got home. |

Rons car is a bracket car, and Mikes red car is a "class" car. Ron is talking about them running a "bracket" race. PS: Mikes blue car is a bracket car. |
