I am replacing a 1970 SL6 198 with a 1982 225 in
a Duster, found my distributor would not fit. What
years of Dist. will fit on a 82 slant six? Thanks.

Any slant distributor should fit. The 82 came with the lean burn dizzy, but you can swap it with an earlier points or electronic distributor.

The shaft on the 70 dist.is slightly larger than
the hole in the block, I think I will just go
to a bone yard and pick up a newer piece,my sport
satellite is eating up all my fun money in gas,
it's time to get my sl6 on the road again.
