I have a (i belive) 1974 904 to put in my 1971 dart, its off of a 225 but it seems like all the overhaul kits are different for 1971 and under and 1971 and newer.. so can i can i swap the two trannys?

Yup, you can directly swap any 1968 or later 904 transmission with the slant-6 bellhousing pattern. There are brand new ones on eBay for $350 apiece.

thanks but i got a good one for $50.00! The guy couyldn't figure ouy why I wanted the slant six bellhousing!
