I removed a 225 w/a 4speed man/trans from a 84 Dodge 1/2 ton. Due to all the crud oil etc. I did not notice that there are 2 sets of locations for teh motor mounts. Now I have to put the eng back in. Anyone know which pair I use? Front or rear? :?: :?: On the upside not much in the way of rust in engine bay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I knoe there is only one place for the engine mounts. Its about 8-10 inches back from the front of the block.(dont have one i front of me at the moment) Are you possibley talking about the power steering/accy mounting at the front of an engine?
Frank

I don't have the factory service manual, so I'm only guessing.

My '73 D100 also has two sets of mounting holes and the 318 uses the rearmost set. Since the six cylinder block is longer, logic says the forward holes are the ones to use. However, logic isn't always the first rule of car design.

Thankyou for the replies 64convert and 66aCUDA. I am going to go the "logical route". Also my pwr steering bracket is on the lower left on the block just below the w/pump. Appreciate the replies. Thanks again Ron
