...for 360 / 727 / 8-3/4" combo in '74 Duster? I need to have one cut down and balanced, so I need to get a good measurement. Once fully seated in the tailshaft, how far should I pull out the front slip yoke to measure the driveshaft's length? Jerry |

Parts book says this should be a 44.99" (45") driveshaft. Double check and make sure. |

I'll use both of your bits of information and "reverse engineer" to confirm. And by the way, why couldn't they just say 45"? Seriously, we're talking about a drive shaft, not something like bearing clearance. That 0.01" difference is very small (between 1/128" and 1/64"). Thanks much, Jerry |
