Do the edelbrock 500CFM 4bbl's work fine sideways?
I had a issue with the holley 390 but setting the float high fixed it. If there is a issue whats the fix? I know zero about how these edel's work...

I kicked my cam 4deg up with the mr gasket advance bushings...seems to have done good. I seem to have a little more low end grunt and my idle is more choppy and defined. I can also idle it down to 500rpm in gear now. My ISKY cam is on 109deg centerline if i remember right so is it now set at 105deg? I still dont have all the theary down pat...

Also had the MP oversized valves put in. My machinest is a cool guy and since my head took longer then he said he back cut the valves 30 and took care of a step i had in the head bowls for free... He says the valves are "pro-flow" or something and between that and the fixing the step (I spent hours porting the head before and missed that.shows how much i know) I should see more topend power... He was right, the car charges hard now :)

Now I have to make up my mind on 3.91's or 4.11's.

Sounds like great progress. I have the Edel 500 on w/ primaries toward the fender and it's the best way to go for a street/strip car. For pure drag it doesn't really matter, but driveability is better w/ it sideways.
