I just got a Slant Six/trans combo out of a 1970 2wd pickup. The transmission has a tag that reads:

New Process Model 4530
Serial 1 5 70
Ratio 456

I'm guessing this won't work very well in a car, but will the rest of the parts (bell housing, flywheel, etc) work to put an 833 or other manual trans behind the Slant? Does the 456 on the tag mean that's the first gear ratio?

Thanks,
Ken

Maybe it's a New Process 435? not 453?

If so that's the "granny gear, boat anchor, rock crusher" 4 speed transmission...not suitable for a car... but it can handle a D150 with a slant six and a load of gravel just fine (the clutch will giveout before the tranny will)...
