A friend is being offered a EX manifold. I told him there is 3 different types. He has a '70 Cuda with a 198. I told him to check the casting date maybe we can figure this out.

He maybe switching to a 2bbl if it has the intake.

Easiest way to ID the exhaust manifold is visually, with a picture of the choke well. The only type to watch out for is the '70-'72 type with the open choke stove (meant for use with a stainless steel cup and gasket) rather than the cast-in choke pocket. Even the '70-'72 type can be made to work fine by fashioning a blockoff plate or just using the stainless cup and gasket if they're in good condition, and bolting on an Electric choke kit.
