Got a coil from Ebay in the mail today. Said it was made in the USA, looks fine, so...

But the wire connections aren't marked positive or negative. Which is which? Don't want to blow anything...

Also, anybody have a part # for the wire harness that will plug directly to the coil?

Thanks again,

Joe

Does it have two side by side in two rows (Flat terminals) or what?

Looks like it could really use a plug connector--and there are two side by side in two rows, as Fopar says.

The only thing it says on the coil is Made in the USA. Looks to be the equivalent of the IC22?

I'll try to get a photo up.

Coil is billed as "replacement to JEG's Red-Hot Igntion Coil GM HEI 84-95"

if that helps,
Joe

Send me a PM with your email & I'll send full size pictures identifying positive & negative terminals among other things.

You can modify the picture of the wiring diagram to match you installation by opening the diagram in paint & making changes to match your final installation including part numbers.

Print the wiring diagram & carry it in the car so that 5 years from now, if you need to take some HEI action, you'll have a reference of the mods recorded & handy....especially on the road.
