: I went to install the cam in my son's engine

: bore in the block and the outer surface of
: the cam bearing shell, or you have an
: undersized(ID) bearing, or you have a burr
: on the bearing, or you have run into the
: scenario Doc and I alluded to in the thread
: about 'planning the rebuild' a couple of
: weeks ago.(see scraping cam bearings)
: Just for grins check the cam for runout by
: putting it between centers on a lathe or in
: v-blocks and checking the middle journals
: with dial indicator.
: Look on the bright side, if you have to scrape
: any cam bearings the front one is definitely
: the easiest one to do.
