Just wondering. I've been trying to put the setup Wayne used to use (shown elsewhere on this site) on my Dart, and it's been slow going, mostly because I haven't had that much time when I can work on it. Anyway, I'm just curious as to how many people have built engines like that. Does anyone have a ballpark figure for how often this has been done?

Seems like quite a few are going this route. I have always been fascinated by turbos and their potential, but never really tried to build a combo with one. This time I am commited, and with all the info and help available on the web, it will become a reality.

I have an older setup in my garage just waiting to go in my 63 Dart Convert. It came out of a 69 van.

I run a turbo on my slant six. You can go to
<A HREF="http://home.earthlink.net/~mrdartgt/">http://home.earthlink.net/~mrdartgt/</A> or
wangermotorsports.net I do not have pic of the new setup on there but some of the other thing that I did are on there. I make costom turbo kits for alot of other types of cars to. I got a stock engine to go 14.50 @ 95 mph, that was intercooled and at 10 lbs of boost. I have got a new engine built up with turbo cam ,head work, But I needed to get a bigger radiator so I am running 4 lbs until I get a new intercooler. The new engine ran 15.06 @ 90 at 4lbs. The tranny was sliping pretty bad. If you need any help let me know!

Andrew, are you still running the turbocoupe turbo? And if so does it have the .48 housing or the .63? I am going to attempt to use two of the .48 housing turbos on my /6. I am also in the process of building a fairly large intercooler for it. I pondered using the buick gn turbo, but it seems to really work better with an aftermarket downpipe. What type of custom work are you doing? Header, manifold etc?

Wagnermotorsports.net

I spelled it wrong!!!

Here is a pic of the header. My turbo has the .48 exhaust, and .63 compessor side. The gn turbo is a good turbo! looks like your intercooler will be nice.

Nice looking header Andrew. Do you build and sell these? And if so, how much?

yes I do! I can make any type of header you want. Its about 350 for a steel header and 450 for a stainless header. I am slowly getting things on the web site together.

What size tubing is the header you have pictured?
