I believe all 67-76 A-body steering columns will interchange with the following provisos:

(1) you must match the column to the transmission shifter style: i.e. automatic on the column, floor shift, and manual column shift

(2) pre 71(or is it 70?) cars had the ignition switch in the dash, post 70-71 cars had the ignition switch in the steering column. If you get a column out of a later car you will have an extra ignition switch on the column. WHich is fine, since it would confuse thieves who try to steal your car. Or you could use the ignition switch as a auxiliary equipment switch.

No, there are at least three interchangeability groups in that year range, even if we disregard shifter variants.

Now if I get a column with floor shifter, if I get all the linkage, and cut the floor for it. will the linkage Work?

Direct bolt in for your car is like a 1968-1970 Valiant or Dart...

as long as your steering option is the same (manual steering donor car = your car is manual steering... power steering car will not directly fit the manual steering car and vice versa without some work).
