i have been looking on e bay for some main bearings. you can get the cast crank one cheap but the forged one aren't are they the same except the oil hole? couldn't i buy the cast one and drill the hole for my crank? are they the same size?

Diameters are the same, but widths are different for both mains and rods (narrower on cast crank). They do not interchange.
