Hey I am just wonderin how easily coudl it be to rebuild a 3 on the tree on a 78 Dodge D-100 that I have cause I am having trouble with the 1st-reverse selector jneal77@yahoo.com

Try and find a dealer that will look up the parts for you and give it a go with new stuff. Supposedly the floor shifts arn't all that great either. Can't remembe why? Might have been the universal fit or quality? Sandy sandy.colter@ns.sympatico.ca

I won't but when I can't even get any parts for the main part of the shifter setup anymore (I have checked the only 2 parts in the US are in texas and virginia and is like 35 bucks a pop and I am not restoring it so might as well do a floorshifter but right now there is a challenge for me cause the tranny crossmember has some clearance issues right at the moment and if the shifter fails on me down the road I will purchase either a Hurst shifter or look into converting it to either a 4sp truck tranny or a HD 5 speed jneal77@yahoo.com
