How's it getting in there? Is this a common issue from a known source or something else? |

It could be the heater lines... Just a thought I could be wrong... Would not be the first time. |

Interesting, I did have a blown heater core that was leaking all over the floorpans, but didn't think that it would've gone into the glovebox. I've already removed all the heater lines, so I guess I'll just soak it up and see if that's the cause. |

check your windshield and your wiper pivots for leaks. |

Useless information department: Switch to rubber gloves. Borderline useless information department: Most likely a degraded wiper pivot gasket. That entry point can let in a lot of water over the left side of glove box when operating the wipers. Less likely: air plenum gasket sealing heater box to crawl because water generally runs down to air door at that location; and windshield sealing which generally will flow water to the far right under dash area to the kick panel unless you have a badly rusted windshield gasket channel. These are the only points water can enter which are located at an elevation above the glove box. Now that your box is a waterlogged useless mess, why not remove it, and have a friend with a flash light inspect that area for water penetration while driving? |

this happened to me and I found out that where the windshield rubber and body meet on the passenger side thier is a tab and the water gets under the tab and leaks on top of the glovebox and runs in at the corner. You can pull the windshield and pull the tab up and seal it with black sealer and replace the windshield and rubber or pull the trim and use clear sealer then replace the trim. the latter does not look as pretty but it keeps the glovebox dry. hope this helps. |
