If you think its the oil filter just go to advance auto and get the mopar filter for it. They are " specially designed to prevent that" . |

No, the filter points the wrong way. It works on the SL6 because the filter is upside down so the built in stand pipe holds the oil. Sounds like you need thinner oil in the V6. What weight are you using? You could use that NAPA 1515 WIX equivalent. |

Last time I checked, Mopar-branded oil filters are of poor quality. The #1806 is not the correct filter for that engine. The "use OEM filters because they contain a special valve to prevent dry starts" thing is marketeering BS mostly pushed by Toyota. Any good(!) oil filter that is correct for an application requiring an anti-drainback valve will contain an anti-drainback valve. Ted's question is a good one, what weight and type of oil are you using? And which V6 engine does this vehicle have? |

Every filter i use people say are poor quality I know im young but my family has also used them forerever and never had issues. I know its a personal choice but untill I have a engine issue caused directly by a fram or mopar filter i am going to continue to use them. |

I think that the motor is the 3.8, and on the oil I don't know for the last year she has brought this one in for all that stuff. I am going to start doing it from now on. Shop said that that noise is normal, but I think that it is not right. I am going to mobile 5-30 and I will try that 1515. need to get one more year out of the thing. Have 124 thou on it. |
