Have you checked the transmission fluid level using the dipstick with the transmission warm and idling in neutral? Also, the use of punctuation makes it much easier to understand what you are saying. |

What, exactly, have you done, and exactly what symptoms does the transmission exhibit? The torque converter is filled by the pump in the transmission. There are numerous problems that could cause the transmission to work in reverse but not in forward gears. Make sure your shift linkage is adjusted properly, make sure the transmission is full of fluid not just seems to be full, make sure the cooling lines aren't kinked or leaking. Without more info it is hard to give a more accurate diagnosis. Does the transmission make any noises or just not go into gear? |

well thank you i think it might need more fluid cuz theres a hole in the floor and we manualy shifted it and it worked at one point now it goes really slow. you can stop it with your hand and when u gass it slows down. I think maybe the kick down band needs adjustment? |

Wait aminute, you are shifting it manually through a hole in the floor? Are you sure it is being put in the right gear? |

This sounds like a replacement transmission that you "serviced" and installed. If so, where did the unit come from? Do you have any "history" on the unit? How did it look when the pan was off? DD |

it all looked clean when it was off the old fluid didnt smell burnt but it did look pretty dark and the original pan on it was rusty. |

Crawl underneath, pull the pan, check the bands. If you can't get it to move by adjusting the bands, then it is time to pull it and take it to get rebuilt. |

Time to get out the factory service manual and follow the troubleshooting guide. |
