This article discusses how to modify the one barrel throttle linkage and kickdown to mate with the carb (mostly by modifying the carb). I recommend using a lokar/bouchillion cable kickdown and using a cable operated throttle cable. Way easier and lets you use a wider variety of carbs.

I was thinking of same with my old spare 2.2/2.5 TBI intake. cut the hole and put divider in and use a plate to mount IDF 40 or IDF 44 (going on a 2.2L engine). Just thinking about since 32/36 DFEV is getting me going no where as mixture stops pulling from boosters because air velocity fell low enough under load and limits engine to 3500rpm.
