Did they make a Shorty 904? I need one for the FED and think the 727 is too power hungry. Ideas??? Frank |

The only short 904 I have ever seen was the one Charles Meyer had built for his RED. He had Moser do a short tailshaft. Last I knew he still had it and would sell it if someone needed it. Not for sure if any of the trucks used a short 904. I know they used a short 727 in a few of them. |

Jeep used 904 with attached transfer case maybe the output shaft from those transmissions could be used with a custom made tail shaft housing could be a solution. :shrug: |

I dont think it will be hard to have the output shaft cut, resplined and a housing made. I was more wondering if a piece all ready existed. If I dont have to reinvent the wheel so to speak.... Thanks, Frank |
