Post subject: | Kick down linkage adjustment ? |
A friend of mine and I just installed a Super six setup on my 74 Duster with a Holley 2280 2bbl and Dutra Duals. I am using all the original standard linkage parts for a 2bbl slant six and it all seems to works OK....... However the transmission does not "kick down" when I push the accelerator peddle to the floor at any speed. Can anyone give me an idea on how to adjust the "kick down" linkage to get this to work? Its the standard Torqueflite A-904 transmission. Thanks Julia julie-roth@woz.org |

In other words at carb WOT, the KD should be at the full rearward position. If it is full KD too soon, it will phsically prevent your carb from reaching WOT position. fglmopar@aol.com |

DO NOT RELY ON THE 'KICKDOWN' TO DROP A GEAR FOR YOU. REPROGRAM WITH A MANUAL SHIFT KIT FROM SUPERIOR PRODUCTS AND HAVE AN ALL-MANUAL SHIFT THAT PERFECTLY TIME THOSE POWERSHOTS. |
