Hi, thanks to Doug for the specs on torque settings for the 225 /6 engine in my 66 Plymouth Valiant. All I need now is the amount of clearance there should be between the valve stem top and the rocker arm... anyone know that number? I've removed the valves, lapped them, and replaced guide seals. Just need to know what the clearance should be... thanks in advance.

The numbers are 0.010" intake, 0.020" exhaust. Look in any service manual for the procedures on adjusting the valve lash, or search "valve adjustment" or "lash" on this site for several ways to do it.

It is usually a good idea to first try the Search function on this site to find info like that. Often things have been discussed in detail earlier and a lot of info is already here.

Happy building,

Lou

With the engine stabilized at normal operating temperature.
