was trying to get back to where I was, but not there yet, there was a site from the same seller as above that also included the distributor shaft.

No. It's a rebuild kit for an electronic distributor, and will not convert a points distributor to electronic. Just pick up a new electronic distributor as described in the HEI upgrade post.
