when machining an intake, i have heard a few of you state that it is best to run a two barrel carb parallel rather than perpendicular to the motor. Why is that? isnt the stock 2 barrel intake have the carbs perpendicular?
thanks,
Lucas

I feel it's a matter of fuel distribution. In theory(I don't know if anyone has actually tested it) you have one barrel feeding 3 cylinders each.

Just because the factory did it a particular way, doesn't make it right. They make a compromise between economics, driveability and performance.
