I have picked up a set of A-833 trannys, one is an iron case unit, second is a aluminum OD. in evaluating the actual condition,
1) short of actually installing or disassembling the units is there a good test to determine condition?
2) I understand that both are units that are 35+ years old,,,,,to do a bench re build,,I am good with gauges, tools, is a realistic rebuild something I can do, or is this best left to a professional shop?
3) recomendations?

Other Notes: both are 26 spline inputs
on the output the
OD is a 23 spline output
iron case is a 30 spline output
how difficult will it be finding drive shaft yokes for each?

26 spline is same as A904 yoke...29/30 spline is same as A-727...should find plenty under mopar cars or trucks of one kind or the other...
