Post subject:  dorman/HELP valve cover grommets
Dorman/HELP valve cover grommets part numbers for a 1985 slant 6 (other years may apply)

Breather grommet part number is 42344. It's labeled as a pcv grommet but it works,it has (6042344 M CHINA) molded in it as big as can be.

PCV valve grommet part number is 42065. It has (65 taiwan) molded in it.

I started this thread because i kinda had to search for the numbers and it wasn't super clear.

I hope this helps anyone with cracked hard grommets.

P.S. can someone follow up with part numbers for the early type valve cover grommets (the ones with only two holes)

Early type cover '66 to '69 uses only one grommet, same PCV valve grommet as you list here for '70-up cover. '60-'65 covers do not use grommets.

This is a very timely post - I was cleaning my old grommets today in the laundry tub and voila! - I washed the pcv valve grommet straight down the drain - after the initial scream I started to laugh hysterically - damn funny $#!+!

Danke for the part #'s - I see a trip to Can Tire in my future :)
