Great job on the conversion, did the up-side-down 3-4 linkage rod give you any clearance trouble? What did you do about the different driveshaft and speedo cable you needed for this conversion? : Great job on the conversion, did the : up-side-down 3-4 linkage rod give you any : clearance trouble? well...... it's at the end of it's thread, and I needed to bend it it the vice, but other than that no. I aalso took the oportunity to replace all my paperclips with the spring loaded clip units that I got at napa. : : What did you do about the different driveshaft : and speedo cable you needed for this : conversion? Well, this guy I know gave me a shaft to use, and i had it shortened by 1.5 inches. It was hard up against the tranny but level with the diff. 1.5 inches was perfect fit. speedo? what's that? I unclipped the old style gear and crammed the square drive end in the hole. I haven't made it out to the yards yet so I haven't got the real one. So far, after 1000 miles, it hasn't fallen out yet, and no zipties (I got skills!!!!) can I take you for a ride in it soon? Did you get my email? : : (early B&T tranny to the later OD 4-speed) : DD Richard-c@e-d-a.com |
