The Dragmaster Team and Wilford Day ran these with up to 13 to 1 compression, they used all stock parts with some "fussy" headgasket assembly tricks. I do not know how many runs between head gasket failures.

If you really want to try a ultra high performance (high cylinder pressure) Aluminum SL6, you need to call ARP now and get some of the special (recently designed) head and main studs on order. Cox Performance can help (they are an ARP distributor) or you can call ARP special products directly.
Be ready for sticker shock, these studs are a small batch, special run deal so all the hardware is about $300.00 but if you think about it, that's a deal compaired to blowing-up a motor.
