With the single barrel carb, I don't think they ever get there..................

Stock pistons and rods,with hot cam,and 4bbl carb,5,500 RPM.Nice oily mess when it let go

I love that turbo set up in the pic is it yours can you tell me more about it.......... I turn 4000 in my 80 d150 not really pushing it. not sure if it would go mush more and make power (1barrel) |

With oil in the bearings a 225 will usually last a long time at up to 5000 RPM. Most stock engines are really running out of breath at 4000 or so. |
